Ethics Commission was established on September 19th, 2007 by the decision of the Latvian Council of Sworn Advocates. Its aim is to promote the observation of the norms of professional ethics of sworn advocates and assistants of sworn advocates as well as to encourage professional activity that corresponds to the requirements of the Advocacy Law of the Republic of Latvia, the Code of Ethics of the Latvian Sworn Advocates, The Code of Ethics of the Sworn Advocates of the European Union and other internationally recognized principles of professional ethics of sworn advocates.
Tasks of the Ethics Commission:
Members of the Ethics Commission are approved by the Latvian Council of Sworn Advocates for 3 years.
